M.P. Welfare Association of the blind, Indore [MPWAB] with the sole aim of working for comprehensive rehabilitation of persons with visual impairment at M.P. state level (central part of India).

Since its inception in 1961, Organization has developed need based services for the persons with visual impairment in the areas of prevention, early identification, education, counseling, rehabilitation, employment, advocacy and many other specialized supportive services.

Visually Handicapped people have same hope, same desires and same ability to work alike normal people. There voice is being articulated through this organization for assertive support of the community to enhance their skills and achieve equalization of opportunity in every walk of life.

The silent features of this organization is that visually handicapped people work together with the normal professionals to achieve the mission of bringing human dignity, self respect and becoming productive members of the society.

MY own struggle as visually challenged person to procure appropriate training and job opportunity made me to visualize the disgraceful condition of thousands of visually challenged people in the country and that gave me firm conviction to develop this organization on sound footing, involving the community along with the visually challenged people. Support from all corners of the society made it possible to develop comprehensive services for visually challenged. Thus this organization has now come up as one of the leading organization serving the cause in the country much remains ahead to extend services to the remotest visually challenged men, women in M.P. state. Financial, Technical and Intellectual support is therefore urge to receive from all over world. NRI are specially urge to come forward with their cordial helping hands to strengthen the services being cherished by the organization.
